| | 12.4 megapixel, Compact, 3.30x Zoom The Samsung EX2F packs one of the fastest lenses in the compact camera field plus advanced photographic controls and RAW capture which should make it a no-brainer as a handy, everyday sidekick. However, the EX2F has some quirks and shortcomings that not all photographers may like, including limited telephoto reach and inconsistent JPEG captures. Released August 2012 | $299-573

| | 16.3 megapixel, Compact, 21.00x Zoom Samsung brings to bear the full force of its extensive experience in Android phones and tablets, unleashing a smart digital camera that shares much with its recent flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S III. Size, cost, image quality, and a rather limited feature set prove areas of concern for this otherwise impressive device. Released November 2012 | |

| | 8.0 megapixel, Other, Non-Zoom In some ways the camera in the Samsung Galaxy S II surpasses the camera in the competing iPhone 4 that we reviewed last Summer, but print sizes are about the same. There's no question, though, that the Galaxy S II's camera offers considerably more options and serves better as a pocket camera replacement in most cases. Released September 2011 |

|
| | 20.3 megapixel, Compact System Camera, 3.06x Zoom The Samsung NX20 may look and feel like a digital SLR, but it's a compact system camera (CSC) through and through. This small camera with a big 20.3-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor is capable of taking winning photos with lots of gorgeous detail along with top-notch full HD videos. Even better, if you like sharing your images and HD footage on the fly, the NX20 has one of the best implementations of WiFi on a camera that we've tried so far. Released May 2012 |

| | 20.3 megapixel, Compact System Camera, 3.06x Zoom Taking a more serious approach to the compact system camera, the Samsung NX200 raises resolution to 20.3-megapixels, adds Full HD video recording, and improved autofocus speed. Most of the new lenses feature a unique i-Function button that the company says allows the user to make adjustments more easily. Released September 2011 |

| | 20.3 megapixel, Compact System Camera, 3.06x Zoom Released May 2012 | |
|
| | 20.3 megapixel, Compact System Camera, 3.10x Zoom The 20.3-megapixel NX300 is the most fully realized mirrorless camera Samsung has produced yet and one of the best on the market in its class. Though the camera is slightly bigger and heavier than its predecessors, the NX300's "retro modern" design looks great, and it's still highly portable. While the NX300 has the same resolution as the previous model -- which should be more than enough for most photographers -- the camera's APS-C-sized, CMOS sensor is brand new, adding on-chip phase detection autofocus for quicker and more accurate focusing. Image quality is also better, particularly in low light at high ISOs. The NX300 adds an attractive 3.3-inch AMOLED, tilting touchscreen display, which you'll need to use extensively since there's no viewfinder option for this camera. A new processor has made the NX300 a faster performer than previous models, which were noticeably sluggish, while even better wireless connectivity tools make sharing photos almost as easy as with a smartphone.
